Areas of Expertise:
- Des has a special interest in luminal bowel disorders.
- Des is interested in all areas of gastroenterology and endoscopy, with a particular interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), as well as iron-deficiency anaemia, liver disorders and bowel cancer screening.
- Des consults and performs procedures in the Knox region and holds a public appointment at Monash and Eastern Health, allowing him to provide care to all patients needing gastroenterological consultation and intervention.
- Des prioritises seeing all patients within a short time frame for initial consultation, with procedures generally being booked within 2-3 weeks following consultation (if required).
